This is my first book, published in 2018. It is the first in what I hope to make a series.
Update: This book is getting a makeover! The publication of the 2nd edition is set for Summer 2024!
Elizabeth Archer is trying hard to be the best secretary she can be. When she is enlisted to take the place of Inspector Spalding's driver and assistant, she soon realizes that her relationship with the young inspector is in danger of becoming more that just professional...
This is a short detective story/romance that I wrote after being inspired by a writing prompt I saw in 2017.
Transporting through time to the year 1846, the four modern-day
teens join forces with a new-found friend to try and save the ill-fated
United States Schooner, the Shark, from a devastating wreck at the mouth
of the mighty Columbia River. As they try to help, the Captain of the
ship begins to grow suspicious of their seemingly "prophetic" knowledge
of the ship. And when Aaron accidentally damages his watch, the four
friends begin to wonder if they will ever see the 21st Century again.
Will they escape the plans of a vengeful captain, discover the reason
one of the sailors mysteriously knows all about them, and find a way to
return to their own time?
When Elijah J. Hampton is discovered dead in his study, it's up to detective James Windsor, a retired army Captain, to take the case and solve the mystery of who murdered Mr. Hampton, and why.
With the assistance of his life-long friend, Mr. Henry Cobbs, and the London police department, Captain Windsor soon finds that the case is far more complicated than he thought, and the culprit, someone he never would have suspected.
Young
police inspector Will Spalding is handed a case that involves a missing
person. As he and his assistant investigate the story behind the
missing young man, the similarities behind the life of the missing man,
and the detective himself,
start to become increasingly strange...Elizabeth Archer is trying hard to be the best secretary she can be. It is the first romance I have ever attempted to write.
I usually stay away from romances, as they really aren't my "thing", but I rather like the way this one turned out. :)
I self-published this in February 2019.
You can find it on Amazon in both ebook, and paperback form!
Beautiful cover by the talented Bethany C. Willcock.

Another detective short story! This one I started way back in 2014, and remained just an idea for many years, before I finally sat down and finished it!
This is the start to what I am hoping will become a series of short mystery stories under the title, Windsor & Cobbs.
Self-published in November 2021.
I digitally drew the artwork for this cover!
Available as both ebook, and paperback on Amazon!
